Which GTA 6 edition to buy
GTA 6 has two editions, Standard and Ultimate. Here is how they differ and who should pay extra.
Prices
Standard costs $79.99 in the US and £69.99 in the UK. Ultimate costs $99.99 and £89.99. Other PS Store and Xbox Store regions have their own prices, so check the store for your account region.
What's included
Standard is the game itself. Ultimate adds a set of story extras; according to press coverage these include extra vehicles (such as the '95 Grotti Cheetah), weapons (Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers) and other items that unlock chapter by chapter.
The Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus comes with either edition. Digital pre-orders add one month of GTA+.
Digital or boxed
Ultimate is digital only. Standard is also sold boxed, but according to the press the box holds a download code, not a disc, so you will still need to download the game at launch.
Which to pick
If story extras don't matter to you, Standard is enough: the game itself is the same in both. Ultimate makes sense if you want the vehicles and weapons right away. Before buying, check whether an upgrade is offered later; press reports disagree on this point.
